The Golden Bears Football Team is excited to announce that our team shop for the spring football apparel is now open.  The team shop will open on Friday, May 18 and will close on Monday, June 4 at 11:55 PM.

Join us for the 1st Annual UA Football Family Cook-Out


Please join us prior to the Football Spring Kick-Off Meeting for a casual get together of football players and parents!  Grab a bite to eat, meet or reunite with the UA Football Family, and get excited for the 2018 season!


The cookout will take place on Sunday, May 20th at 4:30 on the JV Baseball field next to the stadium.  Hamburgers and Hot Dogs and sides will be served.

Help Support the Golden Bears by Purchasing a New Mattress


On Saturday, June 2, 2018, Upper Arlington Football will be hosting a one of a kind fundraising event. This event has been VERY successful in school districts all over the country for over 10 years, and we now have the opportunity to be a part of that success. 


We hope this memo acts as a reminder that if you, or anyone you know might be in need of a mattress, please save the date and visit our mobile showroom. Did you realize 1 in 10 people buy a new mattress every year? This is the time to buy and save up to 50% off retail, all while supporting our program. There will be 20+ sets on display and a team of experts on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Where: Upper Arlington HS Cafeteria 

Time: 10am to 5pm 


This is a no pressure sale, just stop in and take a look. Even layaway and delivery are available to make it easy for you.     What:      Please bring your checkbook!    All checks will be                     made out to UAHS Football Association. 


Former Golden Bear, 
Chris Frey Jr, is raising money for UA Special Olympics teams
Chris Frey Jr is raising money for the Upper Arlington Special Olympics. They are currently adding a third team and need new uniforms.  
For every $10.00 you donate, you will get your name put into a raffle for a drawing to win an autographed game worn pair of cleats from Michigan State Spartan Chris Frey Jr.  

The first 5 people to donate $50.00 will also get an autographed pair of game worn gloves and 10 entries into the game worn cleats drawing. 

This fundraiser will last one week and will end on April 13, 2018 at 5 pm.  The drawing will take place at 7 pm on the 13th live on instragram @cf_spartan23.  


Summer Youth Football Camp 2018 dates have been announced


The Summer Youth Camp will take place June 11 - 14, 2018 at The Marv.

Dante Landolfi Presented the 

Dr. Sol Maggied - Larry Romanoff Award


Senior Captain Dante Landolfi was presented the Dr. Sol Maggied - Larry Romanoff Award last night at the annual National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Banquet.  This award is presented to the most outstanding high school scholar-athlete in Central Ohio.  Landolfi will be off to New York this fall to continue his education and football career at Columbia University.

During the Ohio High School Football Coaches State Clinic, four of our coaches were honored for their years of service coaching high school football in the Great State of Ohio.

The Upper Arlington Football Team is named an Academic All Ohio Team


For the second year in a row, The Golden Bears have been named to the Academic All Ohio Team.  The Ohio High School Football Coaches Association selects the academic teams based upon the varsity football team's overall GPA for the first quarter of the school year.

Coach Joel Cutler

Coach Joel Cutler became the 13th head coach in the history of Upper Arlington Golden Bears Football on January 13, 2014. He spent the previous two seasons as the Head Football Coach at Bishop Ready, leading the Silver Knights to OHSAA playoff appearances both seasons. In 2013 Coach Cutler led the Knights to the State semifinal. In two seasons as the Head Football Coach at Bishop Ready he compiled a 19-5 record.


Before leading the Ready program, Coach Cutler was an assistant for the Golden Bears from 1999-2011. During that time he was an intricate part of eight OHSAA playoff teams and the 2000 Division I State Championship. Coach Cutler has also served as the Head Track Coach at UAHS from 2010-2011 and for 11 years as the head track coach at Hastings Middle School.


Coach Cutler is a graduate of the University of Dayton Flyers, where he was a member leader on their football team. He graduated from Jonathan Alder High School (Plain City, OH).


Joel is an elementary Physical Education teacher at Greensview Elementary in UA. He resides in Upper Arlington with his wife Elaine and his twin boys TJ and Zack.
