Family – Coach Basil currently resides in Upper Arlington with his wife Melissa, daughter Rennie and sheep doodles Maxwell and Bristol. Drew and Melissa (Ohio State Softball, 2011-2014) met during their time as student-athletes at The Ohio State University and have been married for 6 years. The Basil’s have recently opened an independent insurance agency, Basil Insurance Group, here locally in Upper Arlington. In Coach Basil’s free time, he enjoys time with his family, fitness, and playing golf.

Family –  Coach Schaefer and his wife Kirsten (Yarletts) have been married for 21 years and they reside in Upper Arlington.  They have three children: Samantha a 2022 UAHS grad attending the University of Utah, Bo a member of the 2026 UAHS class, and Emma a member of the 2028 UAHS class, currently at Jones Middle School.  Coach Schaefer teaches Health and Physical Education at Jones Middle School.
